Abstract

The article is devoted to an important topic — artistic culture and its nightlife. The night has been explored by scholars in various disciplines including sociology, history, political economics, urban studies, and ethnology. This article raises cultural issues and focuses on the organization of artistic nightlife, its structure, the audience spending their free time at night, as well as artists and service staff. Several years ago, this was introduced to the press, both domestically and abroad, on television and on the Internet. Certain managerial exercises such as "Night of the Ad Eaters", "Night of Museums", "Night of Shopping", "Night of Music" have grown into a mass industry of night entertainment and night services. This is evidenced by statistics: the number of night residents is gradually increasing and their needs for night services have become more diverse in recent years. This infrastructure was developed in the XXth century and today represents a serious leisure and cultural industries in developed countries. Particular attention is paid to large cities where they are most developed — Paris, Berlin, New York and London. The problems of halls, night economy, noise, etc. are considered.
