Abstract

The relevance of the article is determined by the comprehension of such quality of contemporary university graduates as creativity. It becomes necessary in the conditions of digital transformation of society. Modern specialists should not only have a set of competencies and professional skills and be able to master new knowledge, but they also should be ready to actively participate in innovation processes, perceive innovation as a value, and show the qualities of creativity. The main factor in the training of such specialists is the process of professional education that acts as a unity of two components: training aimed at the formation and mastering professional skills and knowledge, and personal development (upbringing). The significant role of the latter is the formation and development of new socio-cultural values. Among the existing approaches to creativity interpretation is the one where creativity is considered as a special quality of both thinking and mental activity of a person, where the presence of sophisticated intelligence acts as a necessary, but not sufficient condition for the achievement of this quality. The author shows that creativity development is possible through the activation of all human abilities, through searching for the ways to solve problem situations, finding new information and restructuring the acquired one by breaking the usual standards and schemes of perception.
