Abstract
The article studies the artistic method within the framework of animalistic genre of fine arts
and reveals its specificity. The main objective of the work is to actualize the key philosophical
principles of the aesthetic attitude to the reality, as well as defining artistic techniques underlying
the practical work of animaliers, whose works help to understand the important role of
the animal image as a symbol of the exceptional value and uniqueness of the wildlife.
The article highlights the basic stages of the creative work, inherent in the animalistic artistic
method, such as depicting a moving model from life, knowledge of the anatomical structure
and skin of the animal. It considers the possibility of using the original photographic material
in the modern creative practice of the animal painters with its advantages and disadvantages.
The author focuses on the interaction of all stages of creative work, as a necessary condition
for creating the most expressive artistic image, which would find an emotional response from
the viewer and, consequently, would increase the socio-cultural importance of the animalistic
genre as a whole.
On the example of the works of the brightest modern representatives of animalistic
genre, the analysis of the artistic method of animaliers was made, allowing to identify the
key philosophical and ethical principles that define the image of animalistic fine art at the
present time.
