Abstract
The article analyzes the role of the Abilympics Championship in the development of research skills of students with disabilities. The
relevance of the research topic is determined by the available legislative documents: the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation
«On the national development goals of the Russian Federation until 2030», the law «On education in the Russian Federation». Organization of
research work of students with disabilities at a university contributes to achieving this goal. The authors propose organizing a championship
movement for persons with disabilities as a tool for developing research skills. The purpose of the study is to designate the organization for
the Abilympics championship in the competence of the Internet of Things as the basis of the modern educational process and the accessibility
of higher education for people with disabilities.
The article provides a brief historical overview of the Internet of Things, the championship movement and the existing experience in conducting
and preparing for the Abilympics Championship.
