Abstract
The article describes communication as an important phenomenon that significantly affects the process and results of human socialization. Based on the analysis of materials from a long-term study, aspects of the influence of communication on spontaneous and relatively socially controlled socialization (education) are highlighted. The synthesis of the obtained data made it possible to determine as the most significant influence of communication on vital and mental characteristics. The concretization indicates that communication is the most important determinant of human emotional development at early age stages and life well–being in general. Communication plays an important role in shaping and changing the “Self Image”. In addition, communication is important in a person’s knowledge of the world of ideas and relationships, as well as in his assimilation of a wide range of norms. Communication plays a specific role in the process of relatively socially controlled socialization – education.
