Abstract
In the article, the authors bring up the issue of choosing secondary professional education (SPE) institutions and adapting first-year
students to a new educational environment.
Purpose: to describe recommendations for first-year students’ adaptation in SPE institutions.
Methods and methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison, specification.
Scientific novelty. The article presents an annual plan for the adaptation of first-year students, recommendations for college teachers to help
first-year students in adapting to new educational environment and recommendations for first-year students to adapt within new educational
institution.
Practical significance. The proposed recommendations can be useful for the adaptation of first-year students within the walls of educational
institutions.
