Abstract
the article examines the features of parents’ choice of an educational organization in the private education sector; the features of
parents’ choice of state and non-state schools in OECD countries are studied. Compared with the Russian education system, OECD countries
have a problem of segregation for individuals studying in private educational institutions.
The purpose of the article: to consider the socio-economic features of choosing a foreign non-state educational institution and a private
school in Russia: first of all, the availability of accreditation and a license to conduct educational activities, as well as a high level of security.
Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, analysis of the experience of non-state educational organizations.
The novelty is the choice of factors influencing the choice of parents in favor of a non-state educational organization, which are associated with
the level of qualification of teachers, the introduction of innovative teaching methods at school, and an individual approach to the student.
Results: in conclusion, the article concludes that the role of private educational institutions is increasingly growing as participants in the
market space, the purpose of which is to meet the needs of parents as key consumers.
