Abstract
Preschool children are characterized by curiosity, different interests and abilities. In this regard, it is necessary to organize special
work with them to increase the level of their environmental education, since it is this area of educational work that contributes to the education
and development of humane and careful attitude to the environment, the formation of human ecological culture. The article substantiates the
need for educational work on environmental education, since the knowledge acquired by preschoolers is a necessary condition for developing
an emotional, moral and effective attitude to the world. The study confirmed that specially organized work in this direction can contribute to
improving the level of environmental knowledge, the formation of environmental culture when using various forms and methods of educational
work in an educational organization.
Goal. The search for ways to increase the level of environmental education of children in a preschool educational organization.
Methodology and methods. The methods of survey and pedagogical observation aimed at identifying the level of environmental knowledge of
preschool children in the educational organization were used.
Scientific novelty. The ways of studying and organizing educational work with preschoolers on their environmental education are shown. It is
concluded that it is necessary to organize special psychological and pedagogical activities to increase the level of environmental knowledge
of children in a preschool educational institution.
Practical significance. This article examines the ways of studying the moral qualities of preschool children, presents the author’s program
“Environmental knowledge” for children of preschool educational institutions. Ways of activating this process are proposed.
