Abstract
The article presents the results of studying the possibility of additional education institutions in developing teenagers’ readiness
to choose social and value-based life strategies. The factors and conditions that have a positive impact on the effectiveness of this process
are revealed. It is shown that one of the most important factors and conditions for its success is the personality of the teacher. It has been
proven that the teacher’s possession of a set of professional and personal qualities ensures the required level of readiness of teenagers to make
a conscious choice of social and value-based life strategies.
Purpose. To identify a set of professional and personal qualities of teachers of additional education institutions that determine the success of
the process of developing teenagers’ readiness to choose social and value-based life strategies.
Methods and methods. The author used the following methods: analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization, questionnaires, survey.
Scientific novelty. The study analyzed the possibility of additional education institutions in developing teenagers’ readiness to choose social
and value-based life strategies; the necessity of the teacher’s possession of a set of professional and personal qualities that determine the
success of this process, knowledge of the essence of social and value life strategies and their role in the lives of adolescents has been proven.
Practical significance. The results of the study can be used in institutions of additional education, in comprehensive schools, in secondary
vocational educational institutions in order to prepare young people to choose social and value life strategies.
