Abstract
In modern conditions of integrating distance education into the professional sphere, there is a growing need to analyze its application
in teaching academic vocals. Chinese universities, including Qinghai Normal University and Qinghai National University, are actively adapting
this format to train students but face methodological and technical challenges. A conducted experiment compared the quality of vocal
training for students learning face-to-face and remotely via the WeChat platform.
Objective. To investigate the effectiveness of distance learning in academic vocals, compare it with the traditional face-to-face format, and
identify the conditions necessary for the successful implementation of distance education in musical arts.
Methods. Experimental research involving 60 students; the application of a formalized system for assessing vocal skills; analysis of the results
of eight weeks of training in both formats.
Results. It was found that with proper organization, distance learning can be as effective as face-to-face training. The greatest difficulties were
associated with equipment quality and connectivity issues, which hindered certain aspects of training, such as intonation and breath control.
Recommendations include improving the technical infrastructure and developing new methodological approaches, particularly utilizing digital
platforms for both individual and group work.
Scientific novelty. The study confirmed the potential for comparable effectiveness of distance learning in vocals, provided methodologies and
technologies are adapted, thus expanding the possibilities of the educational process in Chinese universities.
