Abstract
The article identifies the role of traditions, reveals the typology of the concept of tradition, considers approaches to the creation of
the content-value, historical and pedagogical aspect of pedagogical traditions; considers the influence of traditions in school on the moral
and psychological climate of the team. The authors emphasize that the topic of traditions in science and education is extremely relevant in
the modern context, especially in the context of rapid changes caused by digitalization and globalization. The text examines the diversity of
interpretations of the concept of “tradition” in various fields of knowledge, such as pedagogy, psychology and philosophy. This allows for a
deeper understanding of how traditions influence educational processes and personality development. The relevance of discussing traditions
also lies in the need to rethink established methods and approaches in education, which is becoming especially important in the digital age.
Novelty. The article offers a fresh look at the concept of tradition, considering it as a multifaceted phenomenon with different interpretations
in different fields of knowledge. The novelty lies in the fact that the authors not only analyze existing approaches, but also emphasize the need
for a critical understanding of traditions in the context of modern challenges. In particular, the emphasis on pedagogical traditions in the
context of digitalization and the need to adapt traditional teaching methods to new realities is an important contribution to the scientific
discussion. A typology of traditions is also presented, which allows us to systematize knowledge and better understand their application in
educational practice.
Practical significance. The practical significance of the article lies in its applicability for teachers, researchers and educational institutions. The
considered pedagogical traditions can be used to develop new educational programs and methods that take into account both traditional values
and modern requirements. In particular, the emphasis on the adaptation of educational methods and the integration of digital technologies
into the educational process can help teachers work effectively with students in the context of change. The article also emphasizes the
importance of interaction between culture and education, which can contribute to the creation of a developing educational environment in
the process of digitalization of education.
