Abstract

The article offers a characteristic of adolescent and youth public associations as a factor of socialization of the younger generations.
The relevance of this study is determined by the need to develop theoretical and methodological aspects of the creation and functioning of adolescent and youth public associations in modern socio-cultural realities.
The purpose of the article is to present a description of the socializing functions of adolescent and youth public associations.
The methodology of the research was a phenomenological approach, in which a set of methods was used: theoretical analysis, the study of retrospective and current work experience and the studied associations, expert assessments, analysis of Internet resources.
The scientific novelty of the research results lies in the fact that it reveals the socializing mechanisms and effects of the organization of the life of the organizations under study.
The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that its results, ideas and recommendations contained in it can be useful to a wide range of organizers and researchers of adolescent and youth public associations, as well as teachers of psychological and pedagogical disciplines of universities and colleges.
