Abstract

As a result of studying the prevalence of echinococcosis in animals and humans in the Vakhdat region of the Republic of Tajikistan, it was revealed that the region is endemic to echinococcosis. The disease is recorded in cattle, sheep, dogs and in humans. The epizootic situation of echinococcosis of animals and humans in individual settlements and in the Republic of Tajikistan as a whole should be studied specifically and purposefully with the close cooperation of the veterinary service, Sanitary Inspection Centers of all levels and ecologists. This will make it possible to compile an inventory of epizootically and epidemically dangerous zones and develop specific measures to combat this disease.
