Abstract

The article presents the results of evaluating the effect of complex sorption-detoxifying agents on the cumulation of Cd and Pb in the body of white rats when they are combined with 137Cs and 90Sr radionuclides. The effectiveness of a number of selective and multifunctional sorbents, detoxicants and other biologically active substances and the sorption-detoxifying complexes developed on their basis as the means of efferent therapy, detoxification and correction of the animal’s immune status has been studied. It was found that the combined administration of several sorbents, sulfur or its compounds, mineral-vitamin and some other biologically active substances into the rat organism increased the sorption of Cd and Pb in the gastrointestinal tract, reducing their cumulation in organs and tissues. Sorption efficiency for Cd was observed at the level of 65,5 ... 71,9%, for Pb - at the level of 58,9 ... 79,4% in the liver; in the kidneys did not exceed 50%, and for muscles it reached 80 ... 90% for both Cd and Pb. In accordance with the results obtained, the use of tested agents in the form of sorption-detoxifying complexes included in the diet of animals as feed additives is an optimal and effective way to reduce the accumulation of Cd and Pb in the organism of white rats when they are combined with 137Cs and 90Sr.
