Abstract

Information is presented on the danger of viable uncultured pathogen cells to humans and animals, food contamination, and attention is paid to the properties of such cells and their effects through food on humans and animals. The main hypotheses of formation and reversion to the norm of viable uncultured cells are stated. The factors promoting the transition of bacteria to an uncultured state and the restoration of activity are described. The conclusion is made about the biohazard of viable uncultured cells and the lack of data on their physiology, mechanisms of transition to an uncultured state and exit from it.
