Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of methods for post-mortem diagnosis of pig sarcocystosis, analysis of the risk of pork damage by tissue cysts. The objectives of the study were to conduct veterinary and sanitary examination and diagnosis of pig sarcocystosis using visual inspection methods and layerwise dissection of the muscles of the esophagus, pharynx, heart, tongue, diaphragm and carcass muscles, the implementation of the compressor research method and the method of digesting tissues in artificial gastric juice, studying the existing scientific literature on pig sarcocystosis and its dangers. The objects of the study were samples from 70 pigs. The necessity of preventing pig sarcocystosis and its thorough diagnosis is shown. The effectiveness of using additional research methods in the form of section microscopy and the method of artificial tissue digestion is shown.
