Abstract

The article determines the safety and potential toxicity of the drug Saсhabactisubtil when administered intragastrically to the mice of SD-1. Male mice of the experimental groups were intragastrically administered the drug once in various doses. In mice with type 1 diabetes, the maximum tolerated dose of the drug Saсhabactisubtil from the bacterial strains B. subtilis TNP-3 and B. subtilis TNP-5 with a single intragastric administration at a dose of 5×109 and 15×109 CFU was not achieved. Therefore, the drug does not have a potential toxic effect. The test drug Saсhabactisubtil is promising for the development of starter cultures of fermented milk products and medicines.
