Abstract

The material presented in the article is a review of the literature data of foreign and domestic scientists over the last five years, including modern approaches to the problem of dangerous clostridiosis of farm animals. The terms of classical diagnostics and modern molecular genetic methods, their capabilities, new data on phenotypic criteria and results of phylogenetic analysis of spore-forming bacilli are highlighted. The main bacterial pathogens of clostridiosis in farm animals, pathogenicity factors, and their toxins are described. Methods of sampling, rules for storage and shipment of anaerobes in accordance with current regulatory documents, prevention and treatment of clostridiosis in farm animals are presented.
