Abstract

One of the ways to solve the problem of obtaining safe livestock products in conditions of environmental pollution with heavy metals is the use of agents that help reduce the accumulation of toxicants. As such a tool, a feed additive (FA) L-threonine granular was tested. The use of FA at a dose of 3,0 g per 1 kg of feed in case of poisoning of white rats with cadmium and lead at doses of 5 and 50 mg/kg of feed, respectively (10 MPC), led to a decrease in the accumulation of heavy metals (HM) in the body (liver, kidneys, bone fabric) to 36,8%. However, complete normalization of HM content in all organs was not noted. In this regard, this FA is promising only for use as part of complex therapy and for the prevention of poisoning.
