Abstract

The article presents the results of studies on the effectiveness of the developed complex drug Bovistim-K to enhance the colostral immunity of calves. The morphological parameters of the blood of newborn calves, whose mothers received three injections of the drug, were studied. It was found that preparations based on the polysaccharide complex of yeast cells in combination with beta- carotene can significantly increase important blood parameters, namely the level of hemoglobin and erythrocytes. Analysis of the leukocyte formula made it possible to determine the presence of more pronounced adaptive reactions in newborn calves after the use of the Bovistim-K complex preparation than in the control.
