Abstract
The perfection of forecasting the economic situation is the most important and the only non-objectionable method of "treatment" of emerging imbalances in the world economy. For this reason, the problem of improving the systems of economic foresight, modeling options for the development of the economic complex remains open, and achieving a balanced process for future economic growth and the stability of the global economic system largely depends on its solution. The presented article describes and analyzes world scientific theory and practice in the field of forecasting economic processes, as well as problems encountered in the course of these studies.
