Abstract

The development of shipbuilding is closely related to the functioning of water transport and its relevance. In recent years, there has been a decrease in traffic of all kinds. Passenger traffic does not have an active growth due to low solvent demand of the population, as transportation tariffs do not correspond to the potential passengers. In turn, tariffs are influenced by various factors, among them the main ones - fuel prices and the tax burden of carriers. State measures could smooth out the influence of these factors and ensure the development of passenger transport. Some types of transportation (for example, high-speed passenger) cannot exist without state subsidies; they objectively require support. At the same time, their development will increase the tourism potential of the regions and improve economic indicators, as well as increase tax revenues.
