Abstract

Foreign banks are more actively introducing unified databases for all divisions of the bank, they accompany the entire business process, and information is received in real time. As for Russian banks, technologies such as Big Data are just beginning to develop. So far, Russian banks are only trying to introduce these technologies point by point, checking pilot projects in various fields, and some are not yet ready to change their business processes to the new technology. So far, banks use different databases for each individual branch of the bank, often the data does not arrive in real time. For the most part, domestic banks use ready-made solutions when, as foreign ones, they develop their own technologies. Over time, this technology will be introduced in one form or another in at least the largest banks in our country. When the situation around the banking crisis begins to normalize and many banks have free capital, it is then that banks will be able to concentrate around the development, testing and implementation of new technologies. Given the specifics of strategic actions in the banking services market, most banks are likely to expect a “pioneer with a large amount of free capital for investment,” who will be the first to show the effect of introducing this technology. It is after this that the massive introduction of Big Data technology will begin.
