Abstract

The similarities and differences between the tasks of the machine learning method, which is currently in great demand in economics, finance, medicine, and other fields, and goes back to L.V. To Kantorovich, the collocation problem of restoring the desired functions from the values ​​of the functionals defined on them. The collocation problem arises in mathematical physics, geophysics, astronomy, geodesy, and other branches of science and technology. It is concluded that the collocation method is able to enter the arsenal of the machine learning method.
