Abstract
Currently, the basis of the energy balances of countries is organic fuels. Coal and brown coal occupy a significant place among these fuels. This type of raw material resources has all the potential for its further development and use, and especially in Russia and the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which have the necessary volumes of coal, a developed production base for mining and processing, historically established trade links and energy corridors. So, for example, in the Russian Federation, the balance of coal reserves, on the basis of which the construction of mines is possible, now amount to 202 billion tons, including stone - 99 billion tons and brown 103 billion tons [1]. The level of provision with coal resources, which is understood as the ratio of the balance reserves to the volume of production, is much higher in comparison with other energy resources of fossil fuels used. This indicator for coal is 870 years, for natural gas - 77 years, for oil - 70 years.
