Abstract

Currently, the emergence of the next, fourth, stage of the development of the system methodology is observed. This stage is characterized by the unification of all previously created system disciplines that have already become classical, such as system analysis, system engineering, system dynamics, etc. The unification of various directions is also manifested in the increasingly widespread use of the term "system thinking", on the one hand, as a synonym for the term "system approach", and on the other – as a statement of the process of combining various directions with a more precise definition of the essence of the system methodology. The article covers only the foreign experience of system research.
