Abstract

In livestock farming, the main factor in obtaining high productivity (milk yield, weight gain) is balanced feeding of farm animals. When the nutritional value of the diet deviates from scientifically recommended standards, the effect of imbalance is manifested, which consists in the fact that due to a lack or excess of certain nutritional components, productivity decreases and the health of animals deteriorates. Modern tools are required to describe, evaluate and calculate economic losses caused by an unbalanced diet. The developed tools are based on a mechanism for modeling the loss function for a given power component. A software solution built on clientserver technology allows a livestock specialist to assess and measure losses in productivity, health and reproduction of an animal using a standard browser as an interface
