Abstract

The article develops the approach of evidential modeling by G.B. Kleiner with an emphasis on the third principle (selection of a complete system of premises). The necessity of systematization of premises and construction on its basis of a new classification of models is substantiated. The concept of isotonic curve is introduced as a reflection of a compromise between the degree of parameterization of premises and complexity of the model. Kleiner's subjective approach is supplemented by the introduction of the subject of the user of models and a shift in focus towards taking into account his needs.
