Abstract
Currently, one of the urgent tasks is the development of technical vision systems that work with point clouds of objects in space. An experimental method is often used to collect point clouds and their location in space. The ability to emulate the acquisition of point clouds from various devices while taking into account their characteristics and position relative to the object will speed up the process of developing and selecting point cloud collection devices. The goal of this paper is to develop a flexible method for generating point clouds from a scanning device with given parameters, algorithms and point positioning error in space. The paper describes algorithms for emulating various scanning devices to obtain point clouds with required parameters. Experimental results of these algorithms are presented.
