Abstract

Most companies nowadays cannot do activities without using in-formation technologies in their operations. Especially in the decision-making process. Accordingly, the use of flexible management tools is necessary for making effective management decisions. One of these tools is the enterprise resource planning system (ERP) and the business performance management system (BPM). The article considers the main functionality of these information systems. The key aspects of their use in the company, especially in the context of man-agement accounting, advantages and disadvantages, the impact on the organi-zation's activities are described. The article analyzes the synergistic effect that these systems can have on the organization's activities when used together to obtain relevant management information used in the decision-making process.
