Control of the implementation of the Northern sea route as one of the priorities of the economic policy of the Russian Federation

Abstract

The article is devoted to a topic of enduring relevance - the de-velopment of a promising trade route, namely the Northern Sea Route. This article analyzes the implementation of the Northern Sea Route by Russia within the Arctic Strategy 2020. The author lists the difficulties that are encountered on the way to developing the infrastructure of the Northern Sea Route, namely, sanctions pressure and disputes over the interpretation of the UN Convention of the Law of the Sea. The potential for the development of Russian infrastructure in the Arctic is also being considered.
