Abstract

This article reviews the four main industrial revolutions, but fo-cuses specifically on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which was called "Industry 4.0." Its relevance lies in the fact that it is the leading trend that is developing before our eyes. The most important features of Industry 4.0 are the develop-ment of information and communication technologies, automation and robotiza-tion of production processes.
