Abstract

This article examines the essence of entrepreneurial activity with different interpretations from various economists. The article also provides a classification of types of enterprises with an indication of the number of em-ployees and the maximum amount of profit inherent in a particular type of en-terprise. Undoubtedly, the topic is quite relevant, which is primarily due to the role that small and medium-sized enterprises occupy at the current level of de-velopment of the Russian economy.
