The impact of cooperation between oil and gas companies «Rosneft» and «British Petroleum» on Russian-British relations

Abstract

Despite the fact that in the last decade, one can observe certain political differences between Russia and the UK, these countries have the main area of joint activity, where active cooperation has been carried out over the past 30 years – the oil and gas sector, in particular between Rosneft and BP. The purpose of this article is to analyze the relationship between Rosneft and British Petroleum in the context of sanctions and political disagreements between Russia and the UK, as well as to consider the impact of promising projects of the two companies on the preservation of economic relations between states.
