Abstract

This article lists the functions and principles of a commercial bank, as well as the main interpretations of the concept itself – «efficiency of a commercial bank». With the help of the generally accepted classification of types of banking efficiency, the methods of evaluating the efficiency of a commercial bank that are most relevant in the current economic conditions are identified; their advantages and disadvantages are described.
