Abstract
The article reveals trends in the development of statistical science. Statistics is not only the theoretical basis for conducting statistical research, but also norms, rules, and principles for carrying out statistical activities. Based on statistical indicators, changes are made to the provisions of statistical science. In modern conditions, the role of statistical science is changing. Statistics today are becoming a decisive factor in the study of business trends and overall economic development, in making important decisions at all levels. This expansion of the field of application of statistics led to the improvement of its methods and served as a catalyst for the further development of accounting and statistics in various fields, areas and areas of economic activity.
