Abstract
The article reveals the current trends in the development of criminal law statistics in the Russian Federation. Criminal law statistics play an important role in assessing the effectiveness of the law enforcement system, identifying problem areas and identifying areas for improving legislation. Digitalization and automation of data collection make it possible to automate the processes of collecting, analyzing and storing criminal law statistics. Modern methods of data analysis make it possible to identify development trends, predict possible threats and develop evidence-based crime prevention strategies. Criminal law statistics also make it possible to identify the influence of various socio-economic factors on the crime rate.
