Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the role and significance of statistical indices, which act as barometers measuring changes and trends in various fields, helping us to understand complex phenomena and make informed decisions. They provide objective and comparable measures of complex phenomena, a basis for comparing and analyzing data from different regions, countries or time periods, information for making informed decisions in the field of economics, social policy and environmental sustainability, a tool for raising awareness and improving indicators.
