Abstract
This paper explores the nature of entrepreneurship as presented through different interpretations by various economists. It also provides a classification of types of enterprises, including information on the number of employees and the maximum level of profit characteristic of each type. Undoubtedly, this topic is highly relevant, especially given the importance that small and medium- sized enterprises play in the current state of the Russian economy.
