Abstract

The key legislative and programmatic acts regulating the development of rural areas, including the Federal Law “On the Development of Agriculture” and the “Strategy for the Sustainable Development of Rural Areas until 2030” are considered. The analysis of international documents is carried out and their influence on the formation of national legislation is studied. The need to improve legal regulation to ensure food security, support the agro-industrial complex and improve the well-being of the rural population was noted.
