Abstract

the mining and metallurgical complex in the Russian economy is one of the systemically important industries that provide a large share of the gross domestic product, tax revenues to budgets and employment. The relevance of the study is associated with the current period of economic and geopolitical instability, the factors of which have a negative impact on ensuring the economic security of this industry. The threats, risks and problems that arise stimulate the creation of creative solutions aimed at innovative development, technological strengthening and increasing the competitiveness of enterprises in the mining and metallurgical complex of the Russian economy. The purpose of the scientific article is to analyze how trends in the development of the mining and metallurgical industry affect the Russian economy.
