Abstract

The technical inspection of foundations and substructures is one of the key tasks in assessing the safety and operational reliability of buildings and structures. The relevance of this topic is driven by the growing volume of construction stock requiring renovation and major repairs, as well as the increasing frequency of accidents caused by deformations and failures of foundation structures. Timely and high-quality inspections allow for the early detection of defects, the prevention of emergencies, and the optimization of costs for repair and restoration work. Moreover, in the context of dense urban development and construction in complex engineering and geological conditions, the accurate assessment of foundation technical conditions becomes increasingly significant as a determining factor in the safety of the entire building. This article examines the main aspects and methodology of conducting technical inspections of building and structure foundations. Special attention is given to a comprehensive approach to diagnosing the condition of foundation structures, including visual and instrumental surveys, analysis of the engineering and geological conditions of the site, and the assessment of various factors affecting the technical state of foundations.
