Abstract
In the modern world, where digitalization of the economy plays a vital role in the development of all spheres of life, decentralized finance (DeFi) is becoming one of the most relevant trends in the financial sector. DeFi is a new direction in the financial industry and is an alternative to traditional financial services and banking. This article provides the main theoretical aspects of DeFi, key categories, market analysis, advantages and disadvantages, as well as prospects for further improvement of this direction.
