Abstract

Objective. The article is devoted to the main problems and prospects for ensuring food security of the EAEU countries, taking into account the recognition and observance of the interests of all participating countries.
Materials and methods. The article identifies the interests of all EAEU member states when joining the union, as well as the ways of harmonizing interests, highlighted on the basis of an analysis of the experience of other integration associations.
Result. It is possible to reduce to a minimum discrepancies in national strategies, to achieve convergence of decisions made by individual countries with their obligations within the framework of the association, if there are clearly formulated interests in the field of food security, building a hierarchy of national priorities, achieving a balance between state interests and the interests of the Union as a single whole.
Conclusion. When building interests, the EAEU members should focus not on short-term political benefits, but on the long-term economic interests of the Union.
