Abstract

Objective. The article considers the results of a study of the state of the international vegetable market and the development trends of the vegetable market in Russia.
Materials and methods. The article analyzes the structure of producer countries in terms of gross output in the vegetable market, the volume of vegetable production and the growth rate of consumption and sales prices in the Russian market.
Result. Recently, the vegetable market has shown significant growth, which is due to an increase in acreage. China is the leader among vegetable producers (48,4%). Evaluating the vegetable market in Russia, we can conclude that imported products have a significant share and the growth rate of the domestic market is much inferior to world indicators.
Conclusion. To eliminate the existing problems, it is necessary to change the current state policy in terms of the development of the Russian vegetable market.
