Purpose of work. Investments in staff training are becoming increasingly necessary in the face of changes in both the content of labor and the environment in which it is carried out. Organizations are more often confronted with uncertainties that affect the achievement of staff training goals and thereby generate the risks of investing in employee training. This necessitates the study of the risks of investments in the training of employees of organizations. Materials and methods. The necessity of training personnel to achieve the goals of the organization and the employee is justified. A classification of investments in staff training is proposed. The subjects of investments in the training of personnel of the organization are identified and the investment directions of each of them are determined. The possibilities of maximizing the return on investment in staff training are considered. Result. The definition of the risks of investment in staff training is proposed. The classification signs of investment risks in personnel training are substantiated. The developed risk classification is applied to various types of training, which made it possible to assume the investment risks for each type of training. Conclusion. It has been established that the source of a risky event for investment in training can be both the organization itself and the employee in whom investments are made. It is indicated that the management of potential risks of investments in staff training should be an integral part of the organization’s strategy and policy.
