Abstract

In the article, the author shows the formation of the trade business through the centuries since the XVII century. The article emphasizes that there were no models of this civilization. However, the daily demand of people for the services of this industry created it and constantly increased the economic and social significance of trade. Based on the study of different economic epochs of Russia, the author points out that the formation of trade was influenced by the political and legal climate of the state, personal beliefs of rulers, innovations of other States, and economic phenomena of all times. The article reveals the basic principles of the development of trade, the appearance of the first and subsequent legislative acts regulating trade, tax and credit relations, the state of prices, control and ownership, and the relationship of entrepreneurs to this in all economic epochs of Russia.
