Abstract
Purpose of work. The article presents an analysis of the development of small and medium-sized businesses
in the provision of transport services using the example of the North Caucasus Federal District.
Materials and methods. The state of the transport industry in the North Caucasus Federal District is analyzed
to identify the quantitative characteristics of key indicators of transport infrastructure development.
Results. The main types of activities of small and medium-sized enterprises, the number of employees,
the most common types of transport in the property, the main directions for cargo delivery, priority cargo, etc.
are determined.
Conclusion. The analysis made it possible to develop a strategy for the development of small and mediumsized
businesses of enterprises operating in the transport sector, considering the specifics of the North Caucasus
Federal District.
