Result. The author shows the significance of each stage of the formation of market relations in our country and their role in the restoration and stability of the new rules governing economic relations. The article identifies problems and difficulties in the development and formation of a new economic policy. It is shown that trade is not only a consequence, but also a condition for the development of the economy, despite the fact that world history has had no precedents for the transition from monopolized trade to trade based on the principles of freedom of enterprise and private property. As a result, the market economy was immature for a long time.
Conclusion. In the 90s of the last century, a new stage in the development of trade began. It was important to overcome the underestimation of trade as an activity and the most important market mechanism in the ongoing course of reforms. It was necessary to give stability to the laws and create the necessary legal conditions for the development of entrepreneurship. More than 30 years have passed, however, entrepreneurs have not yet created freedom in their activities. The author’s research is aimed at studying the domestic and foreign practice of developing trade entrepreneurship and taking it into account in improving the trade business of Russia.
