Abstract
The purpose of the work. Environmental consciousness is now spreading to all areas of life, and in tourism,
environmental priorities are becoming increasingly important. The article contains an overview of various interpretations
of ecological tourism.
Materials and methods. The article gives criteria for ecological tourism in the Arctic. Based on the swot analysis,
properties and problems are highlighted.
Results. Studies of modern highly developed people are interested in ecological tourism in different regions. For
the Arctic zone of Russia, ecological tourism is one of the opportunities for nature conservation and socio-economic
development.
Conclusion. The conclusions suggest that there is greater awareness not only about the Arctic, but also about the
ecological lifestyle, involvement through tourism in the protection of nature, separate collection of waste.
